Three papers from the Fiber Interferometer, Laser Metrology and Stabilization research topic (PI : Dr. F. Kéfélian ; post-doc Dr. S. Grabielle & PhD candidate D. Show) were selected for the European Frequency and Time Forum (EFTF), one of the main scientific conferences in the time & frequency domain.
We will present the extensive experimental and numerical investigations of the locking of a diode laser on a fiber based interferometer with sub 0.1 Hz/√Hz locking noise up to 8 kHz. we will also present the results of the transfer of the frequency noise of one laser on an other laser over 18 nm using a fiber based heterodyne interferometer with a record noise floor of 0.2 Hz/√Hz.
Fiber optics interferometer represents a promising technology for ultra low noise photonic experiments, in particular space missions.
These works were supported by the LABEX Cluster of Excellence FIRST-TF (ANR-10-LABX-48-01), within the Program « Investissements d’Avenir » operated by the French National Research Agency (ANR).
